Hey everyone,
2025 has already passed 2/3, I'm taking a hard look at my affiliate strategy. For too long, Amazon Associates has been the default choice, but with their shrinking commission rates and short cookie duration, it feels like we're working harder for less. I'm convinced the real money is now with more specialized and direct programs.
I've had great success moving towards two key areas. First, high-ticket SaaS programs are incredible. Platforms like HubSpot, SEMrush, or even ConvertKit offer fantastic recurring commissions. You make one sale, and you can get paid for months or even years. The key is promoting tools you genuinely use and that solve a real problem for your audience. A single referral can be worth hundreds of dollars over its lifetime.
Second, don't underestimate niche e-commerce brands on networks like ShareASale or Rakuten. Instead of a 3% commission on a generic product, you can find unique brands in your niche offering 10-20% commissions. For example, promoting a specialized piece of camera gear from B&H Photo or a sustainable mattress brand will almost always pay out more than the Amazon equivalent.
My plan for next year is to focus 80% of my efforts on these high-payout and recurring programs. But I'm curious what everyone else is finding success with.
What affiliate programs are you betting on for 2025? Are there any hidden gems you've discovered?
